Congratulations on your decision to enhance your coaching knowledge by pursuing the USATF Level 2 coaching certification.
We take our role of imparting state of the art knowledge to you very seriously. High performance coaching requires substantial knowledge about how the mind and body works and how it responds to training. By placing the Level 2 science content on line we are offering you the time you need to absorb and understand the material. You may repeat the lectures as often as you wish, access them at any time, and move through the modules at a pace suitable for your specific style of learning. The Course Preview illustrates how the online modules work, provides an overview of the content and discusses relevance of the content to your specific event.
NOTE: You must complete the Training theory, Physiology and Psychology modules BEFORE arriving on site.
There will only be a brief 1- hour tutorial for each subject onsite before testing. The test will be closed book. Please check your schedule for the testing time and location. You are expected to come prepared for the psychology, training theory and physiology tests by completing and studying the lecture modules, the study guides and readings provided for you on this site.
THERE WILL BE INSUFFICIENT TIME FOR YOU TO REVIEW THIS MATERIAL ONSITE BEFORE THE EXAMS.
The test for each subject consists of 25 multiple choice questions. You must receive 80% in each subject area in order to pass.
All questions will come from the study guides provided for you. These study guides are attached to each module.
A reading is also attached to each module that summarize the content of the lecture. The physiology and training theory lecture modules include animations to help enhance your learning of the more difficult concepts. The case studies will guide you on how to focus your study for the exams.
YOU MUST PASS THE SCIENCE EXAMS
If you fail any of the science subject areas you may continue with the Level 2 program but you will not receive your certification until you have met all the science requirements. You have one retest opportunity for any science unit you have failed. You will have the opportunity to review the online lecture material and you must then complete an online test within 5 weeks of the course completion date. The link to the online test will be emailed to you after completion of the Level 2 school
